*** Update***
With heavy hearts, we share the news that Kiersten passed away Sunday morning surrounded by her loved ones. Kiersten was a strong and empowered woman and an inspiration to so many people. She was thoughtful and kind with a gentle soul who loved life. Forever in our hearts. We will share details about a celebration of life at a later time.
We continue to ask for thoughts and prayers as we navigate thru this difficult time.
Hi, my name is Majbritt Rayas and I’m creating this fundraiser for one of the most kind-hearted, genuine souls you could ever meet; my Goddaughter Kiersten Dyke.
It’s hard to put into words just how special Kiersten is. She is 25 years old, and from the moment she came into this world, she has had the most gentle, loving spirit. She is the kind of person who makes everyone feel seen, cared for and valued. Her heart is truly one of a kind — selfless, compassionate, and full of so much love for others. She is the one who sends handwritten thank-you-notes, brings smiles to all she meets and whose creativity and heart shines through in her encouraging TikTok posts. You can follow her on TikTok: https://tinyurl.com/KierstenDyke
Her courage and honesty is truly moving, and it gives a glimpse into the beautiful person she is. Watching her grow into the incredible young woman she is today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Over the past few years, Kiersten has been courageously fighting cancer. She was first diagnosed in December 2022 with stage 2 melanoma, and we held onto so much hope after her surgery.
In December 2024, the melanoma returned as stage 3, and despite everything she went through, it has continued to progress. By June 2025, Kiersten was facing stage 4 metastatic melanoma that had spread to her bones and organs.
This week she and her family received the devastating news they have been dreading. They were told that treatments are no longer working. The cancer has spread and when Kiersten bravely asked how long she has—the oncologist said
“months.”
She has courageously endured countless procedures, surgeries, radiation, targeted therapies and immunotherapy at the #1 cancer center-- MD Anderson Cancer Center (TX), resulting in Kiersten, her boyfriend Dominic and her mother moving to Houston to be close to Kiersten’s medical team. She has spent nearly half of this past year in the hospital. And yet, somehow, she continues to face each day with strength, grace, and a positivity that inspires everyone around her.
It is unimaginable to think that this beautiful human may not survive this, but Kiersten isn’t giving up and is choosing to continue her fight, seeking clinical trials.
This GoFundMe has been created to help Kiersten and her loved ones focus on what truly matters right now: making memories together. We want to give her the chance to experience the things on her bucket list, whether that’s traveling somewhere special, creating unforgettable moments, or simply spending meaningful time with the people she loves most while we await news on eligibility for any possible clinical trials.
As her godmother, there is nothing I want more than to see her surrounded by love, laughter, and peace. Kiersten has spent her life pouring into others. She has a tender heart for children and has given countless hours of her time loving, supporting, and serving them, especially those with special needs. She has been a steady source of comfort and kindness to many. Now it’s our turn to give some of that love back to her.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward helping Kiersten live these moments to the fullest. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing her story would mean the world to us.
Your support helps:
· Cover treatment and medical costs
· Cover living expenses near the hospital (the family home is in
Austin but treatment in Houston so the Dyke family is
currently renting a second home in Houston)
· Allow a parent to be with her
· Make memories outside the hospital
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for keeping Kiersten in your thoughts and prayers.
With all my love and gratitude on behalf of David, Iben, Kiersten and Christian.
