My name is Kieran R, and I find myself facing a true emergency situation. Due to a combination of rising rent and losing all of my health benefits, I am currently facing an eviction and the loss of the home I own. I owe 2 months of back rent (plus late fees, etc.) after missing several weeks of work due to medical issues I couldn't afford to treat. I tried multiple times for lower rent or extensions, and the owners of the trailer park, who don't even live in this state, are now refusing to work with me. They've even been charging me a fee every day I'm stuck here. Thankfully I do still have my job and am saving every possible penny. I have lived in the same home for the last 11 years, and while relocating is an option, if I lose my home, I will lose this opportunity. If I'm being honest, I'm asking more for my cats than for myself. They don't deserve to lose their home. I do have a small glimmer of hope: If I can raise the funds to pay the back-owed rent and to relocate my home, I will be able to continue living in the one piece of property I truly own. I already have done the work of finding somewhere else I can park my home, with significantly lower rent. I just need to cover the relocation. I realize this is a terrible time for everyone, but I owe it to myself and my cats to at least try and retain our home. I thank you for your time and generosity.
