Support Kid Dakota: Help Replace Stolen Car and Gear

Hello. You most likely know me as Kid Dakota, but my real name is Darren Jackson. I mostly make my living by traveling around and playing music (I just started teaching PK-5 music in Saint Paul Public Schools.) In 2023, I played over 150 shows!

Earlier today, my car was stolen. This, of course, is bad as I need that car to travel to gigs. Adding insult to injury, everything I need to perform solo shows—guitar, PA, microphones, harmonicas, stands, chords, business cards, etc.—was also in the car as I was getting ready to play a show at Lakeville Brewing tonight. So it's gone as well!

I reported it to the police right away, and they informed me that it is very unlikely that I will get my car back, and even less likely that I will ever be reunited with my other belongings. I only have liability, so my insurance company won't cover the car or the belongings. I canceled my full coverage policy five days ago. *sigh*
