Kia Leu is a forward for Central Michigan Women's Hockey team. The team is on track for a return trip to nationals this year. Unfortunately, Kia suffered a broken collar bone in a tournament this past weekend, ending her hockey season for the year. The surgery will involve putting plates and screws in to re-attach the broken collarbone. The cost for her family will be $9,000 out of pocket for the surgery, not including post operation rehab. Kia is disappointed to miss the remainder of the season with her hockey family and to play with the group of seniors. We ask for your help to fund Kia and her family as they go through this tough time in her hockey career. Thank you for all your help!
Kia has been playing hockey since she was 5. She's played on various teams like the Lincoln Stars, Omaha Lancers, Madison Capitols and now for the Chippewas. She comes from Nebraska and has been traveling all over the country playing the game she loves.
