Hi, my name is Ed McGruder, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my daughter Khloe and her two young daughters, Kasia (9) and Kennedy (6).

Just a month and a half ago, Khloe was diagnosed with Neurosarcoidosis — a rare and serious autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the brain, spinal cord, and other parts of the nervous system. This condition has left Khloe unable to walk and with a wide range of debilitating symptoms including vision issues, extreme fatigue, speech difficulties, and mobility loss. There is no known cure, only treatments to help manage the symptoms.

Khloe and her daughters have now moved in with my wife Takiyah and me, as we do our best to support them through this life-altering diagnosis. One of our immediate goals is to make our home accessible for Khloe by adding a wheelchair ramp and other necessary accommodations. We’re reaching out to ask for help in easing some of the unexpected costs that come with this transition and ensuring Khloe and the girls have everything they need.
