Support Khiali Baxter: One of America’s Youngest Police Officers in Medical Crisis Abroad

We are urgently asking for your help for Khiali Baxter—one of the youngest police officers in America—who is now facing a life-threatening medical emergency while on a cruise in the Caribbean.

Khiali suddenly became violently ill, vomiting blood and losing consciousness. She is currently being treated in the ship’s medical center, where doctors have discovered an active internal gastrointestinal bleed and critically low hemoglobin levels. Her condition is serious and requires immediate intervention.

Before Khiali can even leave the ship, she is facing a $4,000 onboard medical expenses for the emergency care she’s already received. Once the ship docks, she will be transported by EMS via ground ambulance for a four-hour journey to the nearest hospital equipped to treat her. This long and urgent transfer is necessary to stabilize her condition and begin lifesaving care.

This crisis is compounded by the fact that Khiali does not have a passport and was not covered by travel insurance. That means all medical costs, emergency transport, and travel arrangements must be covered out-of-pocket by her family.
