Help Khesa Recover After Life-Altering Accident

Hello everyone,

My name is Khesa, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and great humility. On April 18, 2025, my life changed in an instant. I was involved in a tragic accident where I was crushed between a vehicle and a concrete column. This terrifying incident left me with multiple severe injuries:

Five broken ribs

A punctured lung

A broken sternum

A broken right foot

40% lacerations on my left leg

Vascular damage to my left leg requiring surgery

Internal organ damage affecting basic bodily functions

I am now facing a long road to recovery. I am learning how to breathe on my own again, and I will need months of physical therapy to learn how to walk. Doctors estimate I will be out of work for at least the next three months.

What has made this even more difficult is that, aside from a brief hospital visit from my mother, I have not received a single call or message from my immediate family—not even from my sister or my twin brother. That emotional pain is almost as hard as the physical recovery.

Those of you who know me know that I am not someone who ever asks for help. I’ve always been the one checking in on others, offering support, and trying to uplift my community. But now, I find myself in a position where I truly need help.

Due to being out of work, I am at risk of losing my home while I am still trying to heal both physically and emotionally. I am pursuing legal options, but as many of you know, those processes take time—and time is something I don’t have when it comes to rent, food, and basic living expenses.
