We’re reaching out with a deep sense of urgency. Khalisi, our sweet 7.5-year-old gentle giant, is in need of emergency surgery to remove a rapidly growing mass. We are concerned that it may be cancerous and we are unsure of how much time we have left to get it removed. She’s more than just a pet—she’s my mom’s emotional support animal.

My mom is disabled and living on a fixed income. We’ve done everything we can—offered payment plans, called around, begged for help—but every clinic we’ve spoken to requires the full cost of surgery upfront. The original vet estimate was $1,400, but with how quickly the mass has grown, we know that number has likely increased.

Khalisi has already been seen by a vet and is on antibiotics and pain medication, but this is only a temporary fix. She’s in pain, and we’re running out of time. Her wound recently split open (within the last 24 hours) and we have had to wrap her entire head with bandages. Watching her suffer while knowing she could be helped—if only we had the funds—is absolutely heartbreaking.

We’re asking for any help—donations, shares, or even recommendations of organizations or charities that help with urgent pet care for low-income families. Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to giving Khalisi the care she desperately needs. This will cover the mass removal, medication, and hospital stay for her.
