For anyone that knows me, knows I am a dog lover. I always prefer to rescue rather than purchase, as there are too many dogs that need homes. All 6 of my pups are either rescues, rehomes, or adopted.

Khaleesi is in need of surgery. She tore her CCL on Sunday. A little history on Khaleesi: She came to us 8 years ago at the age of 4 years old. Her original family decided they didn't want her after having her for the first 4 years of her life. She came to us through a coworker, and from the first meeting, we knew she would fit right into our pack. Two years after getting her, she started having seizures, not uncommon for a husky. She was on Keppra for a little while, and she stopped, so we weaned her off. She hasn't had a seizure since. Now she is in need of help again.

Some know I am going through my own health issues, which makes this even harder emotionally and financially, as I am in need of a kidney due to end-stage renal failure. I am the only breadwinner in the house, so the financial aspect is rather difficult, and we want our girl to get better. Between her vet bills that have already been incurred and the cost of the surgery, it will be over $6000.00. Normally, I wouldn't do this or ask for help, but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I know Khaleesi would appreciate it as much as me.
