My name is Alicia and I am here as a last resort for my chonky orange boy Khaleesi. Khaleesi has a history of Urinary Obstructions, which is very common in male cats. Unfortunately after being in the hospital myself and having to miss work, I am here now asking for any aid I can get to help my poor boy get better. I have been feeding him a diet specific for urinary issues, but unfortunately these issues can still happen. Since this is his second Urinary Obstruction, he is on a waiting list to receive a surgery that helps with this. This surgery is called a PU (Perineal Urethrostomy) it is a procedure to widen the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder, to prevent or treat urinary blockages. It's typically recommended for male cats with recurrent urinary obstructions, which is why I am trying to get the procedure done now. Khaleesi is currently being hospitalized at an Urgent Care in Omaha NE, while we wait for the surgery. I have never done something like this before, but desperately need the assistance to get my boy taken care of and back home to terrorize his little brother Spyro <3.
