Hi, my name is Kat Ellis fundraising on behalf of Khabu Young, a beloved and expert jazz guitarist and a healing teacher. For years, he has dedicated his life to music, playing gigs along the front range, and sharing his passion for music with anyone who is looking for healing in music. But lately, his ability to perform and even live without pain has been overshadowed by an urgent medical issue: He needs extensive dental work that he cannot afford.

From Khabu: "Due to a lack of dental care insurance, a series of untreated dental problems have progressed to the point of being severe. I am facing bone loss, multiple extractions, need for implants, and several surgeries and the total cost of the work is an overwhelming $40,000. For a working musician, this is an impossible sum. The physical pain and symptoms of hearing loss and tinnitus is constant and distracting, but the emotional impact is even heavier. It affects my ability to perform confidently, socialize, and simply live comfortably. When my mouth hurts, the music suffers."

Khabu needs to start treatment on November 21 so this is an urgent request.

He will have speech issues for at least ten months. He will be on liquids for many weeks.
