Help Keymora Stay at Spelman College

Hi! My name is Keymora and I am a rising Junior at Spelman College from Queens, NY, with a major in Sociology & Anthropology. Those of you that know me know that I come from a single parent household consisting of just my mother and me. Those that know me also know that my mom and I have struggled from the beginning to finance my education at Spelman and going into my third year has only increased the financial strain we are under. With the financial aid and scholarships I have for this Fall semester, I am able to remain at Spelman. However, I will not be permitted to register for classes until my balance from Spring semester of 2024 is satisfied. The deadline for late registration is August 30th. This is the only thing holding me back. Completing my education and receiving my degree from Spelman means the world to me because it breaks my heart to see my mother sacrifice so much for us and for it not to be enough…it is a terrible thing to know you are more than qualified to receive a quality education, but lack the resources to do so. I do not wish to leave now that I am so close to the finish line. Please help me keep this promise to both my mother and myself. Anything is appreciated. Thank you.
