We are Kev’s daughters, and after many family members and friends asked how they could help, we have set up this page to support our dad during an incredibly difficult time.

While on holiday in Spain, Dad became seriously ill and is currently receiving treatment in intensive care. He is suffering from severe lung complications caused by a puncture in his lung, which has led to further health issues. It is believed that an existing chest infection, combined with air travel, caused air and fluid to enter his lungs, resulting in pneumonia and other complications.

Our main focus right now is Dad’s recovery and getting him safely home. However, we are also facing the reality of significant medical expenses. Although Dad had medical insurance, his claim has unfortunately been declined due to an existing chest infection that the insurer says was not disclosed before travel.

At present, the medical costs are estimated to be around £30,000, and this figure may continue to rise while he remains in hospital.

Dad’s partner has remained by his side throughout this ordeal, and one of us travelled to Spain to support him for as long as possible, while the other stands ready to travel if needed. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support Dad during this challenging time.
