i, my name is Emma Youngs and I am raising funds for Kevin, lovingly known as “Kev,” a 15-year-old who was recently involved in a serious accident that has left him with life-threatening injuries. Kev is currently in critical condition, fighting for his life, leading to a long road of difficult recoveries. Kev is a funny, lighthearted young man who loves to joke around and make everyone laugh, especially his sisters who share an incredibly special bond with him.

Seeing him in this condition is absolutely heartbreaking for everyone who knows and loves him.

Kevin has gone through multiple surgeries, when he got to the ER he was immediately rushed into the OR to stop the bleeding in his abdomen partially. More than 10 units of blood was used to get him critically stable. That surgery was only the beginning. The next day he went through his second surgery to fully stop the bleeding in his stomach and fix his small bowel injury. The following day Kevin went into surgery for his leg, putting a metal rod in it to stabilize the two fractures of his fibula and the fracture in his tibia. Kevin has just finished his fourth surgery, meant to repair his pelvis, with four screws total and a metal plate inserted. Not to mention the long hospital stay he’s going to have and the long rehab he has to go through.

As you can imagine, the financial burden of emergency care, hospital stays, and the long-term recovery process is overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward Kev’s medical expenses and the care he will need during this critical time and beyond. We are asking for any support you can give—no amount is too small.
