Support Kevin's Care: Help Us Bridge the Gap

During the last five years, our father, Kevin, has suffered from a variety of undiagnosed symptoms that have led to injuries, falls, late night ER visits, and lengthy hospital stays. Our parents’ savings and security have been completely wiped out due to numerous costly medical bills and missed work as a result of these episodes. Within the last few weeks, our father’s cognitive awareness has taken a dramatic decline, and he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, a progressive and irreversible type of Alzheimer’s that requires full-time care and immediate attention.

Our family is actively working to get Kevin covered by Medicaid to help with the significant costs of long-term care that he needs. The medical bills continue to pile up and our mother has determined she will have to sell their house to cover future expenses. As we wait for Medicaid’s assistance, we realized that we need help from our community to bridge this gap. Any donations you can make will go directly toward the cost of keeping Kevin safe in a facility with round-the-clock care while we await the sale of the house and, hopefully, the Medicaid assistance.
