Support Kevin Strang’s Recovery

****UPDATE (8/4): Kevin is continuing to be able to move the shoulder a little more each day. He thanks everyone for their support!

***UPDATE (7/31): Kevin is showing a little improvement and went out for some fresh air for the first time since surgery. He is taking it slowly as the doctor advised for the first 2 weeks until he goes back for follow-up. He is so grateful for all your donations and will be reaching out himself very soon.

***UPDATE (7/29): 3 1/2 hours, 1 plate and 10 screws later Kevin was discharged around midnight last night and is home and resting. The surgeon was pleased with how the procedure went and feels that he will regain almost full function. He goes back in 2 weeks and will know at that time when physical therapy will begin. Thank you all again for your donations, prayers and positive thoughts!

***UPDATE (7/28): Kevin is so appreciative of all contributions received so far. Surgery is today! He’s anxious to proceed and get the healing ball rolling! He got a bit of bad news this week in that he doesn’t qualify for FMLA because he’s a month short of the required 1 year of employment, and that the hospital does not have short term disability either. He will need to use COBRA to continue to have health insurance!

***UPDATE: Thanks so much to those who have contributed! Kevin now knows that his surgery will be Thursday so please keep him in your thoughts. He will have a long recovery, including physical therapy, so doesn’t anticipate being able to work again for at least 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately he’s 1 employment month short of qualifying for FMLA.

We are raising money for Kevin Strang’s recovery from a serious scooter accident. Kevin is a nurse in Tacoma Washington, but the injury will prevent him from working for several weeks and he will need assistance with living, medical, and rehab expenses. He has a long road to recovery and any little bit helps. Thank you!!
