Hi everyone, I'm reaching out because my neighbor, good friend, and bonus Papa to my two sons, Kevin Read, has been in a horrible accident. He fell off his bike at a mountain bike park, breaking his neck and his back. He is in the ICU and has a long recovery ahead. Every donation goes towards the costs of being life flighted to the hospital, hospital care, followed by extensive long term care on a retired fixed income. UPDATE: Kevin had a 12 hour back and neck surgery on July 11th. He is stable and conscious. The doctors predict him staying in the ICU until around July 18th. After that, the doctors predict one to three more weeks at a rehabilitation facility.

Meanwhile, construction begins July 13th at the Read’s home. They are creating a ramp into the home and making the downstair’s bathroom wheelchair accessible. Their downstair’s bathroom also needs a wheelchair accessible shower. Please, please, please continue sharing this page with friends and family. Kevin is no longer on the ICU floor and still recovering by until the rehabilitation floor. He has a neck brace and back brace to support him. He also has a hand splint as he has a boxer fracture. Construction has been going on at the Read home. The ramp for going into the home and ADA compliant bathroom with shower is also being built. Thank you all for the continued love and support.
