Dear Family and Friends,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Kevin Morgan’s passing. Kevin fought a brave battle with liver cancer, showing immense strength and courage throughout his journey. He passed away peacefully last night, surrounded by love.
Kevin was a devoted family man, a loving husband to Cheryl, a lover of his pets, and a hardworking soul who always extended a helping hand to those in need. His kindness, selflessness, and unwavering dedication left a profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we navigate this difficult time, we kindly ask for your prayers for Cheryl, our family, and all who loved Kevin. Your thoughts, prayers, and support mean so much to us and bring comfort in this time of sorrow.
We’ll share details about any services or arrangements in the coming days. Thank you for standing with us.
Update March 18th 2025
Kevin had his chemo treatment yesterday morning at the cancer center. He had a hard time getting out of the car upon his arrival. Two nurses had to come out and help him out of the car and into a wheelchair. He received his fluids and also had some blood work done. Kevin was prescribed Prednisone for the side effects he'd been having lately. When Cheryl and Kevin arrived home, Kevin was too weak to get out of the car. My brother Randy came out to try and help Kevin out, but he wasn't able to, so Cheryl called 911 for a lift and assist. They came out and got Kevin wheeled into their house on a gurney. They asked if Kevin wanted to be taken to the hospital, but he declined. The medics left and a short while went by.
Kevin was still unable to stand up from his lift chair. Cheryl had to call for help again. The ambulance came out a second time and this time took Kevin to the Elwood Hospital. Kevin had a chest x-ray done to make sure he didn't have pneumonia, which didn't show anything. As of right now that is about all I know. He was admitted last night and Cheryl stayed with him until around 2 in the morning. Please continue to pray for Kevin and Cheryl. Thank you, Amber
Update as of February 06, 2025.
I'm sorry. I've not had time to update this in a while. Kevin has since suffered a stroke since last update and was in the hospital for a short time. He is back home now. However, he is still fighting major fatigue on a daily basis. He doesn't have an appetite and struggles to eat his meals like he should. As I type this update Kevin is headed to the hospital to have a MRI scan of his brain to see if he suffered another stroke recently. He was experiencing double vision, which he also had the last time he had a stroke. The MRI should tell us if in fact he had another one. Kevin is continuing his chemo treatments. His levels were very high the last update I had. Please continue to Keep Kevin and Cheryl both in your prayers. Thank you!
Update 11/09/2024 : Kevin is currently in the nursing home in Elwood. He has been there for a few weeks now, since his stay in the hospital. He is trying to get his strength back before, hopefully returning home. He's been a bit down, as you could imagine.
His birthday is coming up on November 30th. I'd love for him to receive some birthday cards in the mail. If you could take a second to drop him a birthday card, that would be wonderful! No donations are necessary. Just a card to cheer him up! Thank you!
