I’m grateful to share that Kevin “Lucky” Lewis is recovering from his 5th professional bout and is improving every day. He was monitored at Mass General Hospital for a few days and was released on September 29th. That said, there will be TBI (traumatic brain injury) rehab for him to complete, and we’d love for his community to show him some support and love as he navigates healing and retirement.
After an illustrious career in amateur and professional boxing, our fighter is happy to focus on coaching, family, and furthering his education in the sport to make an impact (without taking any more hits himself).
I’m putting together a retirement basket for him and hope to include cards or gifts from all the people he has connected with over the years. By no means will he be off the boxing grid, but he will need a lot of rest before he is able to get back to his usual routine of training clients and working out (he will not be happy about this!). It would be really helpful to his recovery—and support my efforts in limiting his activities—to receive some notes from friends congratulating him on retirement and just showing him lots of love. Feel free to share stories, encouragement, well wishes, and memories of all the amazing things he has accomplished!
Please send cards, notes, or small gifts to:

Please include a shamrock and your name so I can thank you.
I’ll be coordinating all of his appointments and rehabilitation, so your donations will help us out in the interim. He will be in outpatient PT (physical therapy) and OT (occupational therapy) for an extended period of time, so funds will go towards cheerful gifts, wellness items, snacks, rehab equipment, and brain tools to get him back up to speed. I’ll pass along all the cognition training tools to him when he graduates from his “program” so he can use them with his own clients. If there’s extra left, I will pay off his medical bills and expenses for however long as the brain takes time to heal and make sure he and Mickey have everything they need to jump back into regular life. Anything helps, and please know every dollar will go toward his recovery.
I’ll post a photo of the finished retirement basket when I give it to him. Thank you so much for all the messages and support these last few days. He really has the best people!
Greatly appreciated
