This is extremely hard to write and even ask for help. I hope you all take the time to read and I appreciate every one of you taking the time to do so.

Many of you know me, but for those who don’t - my name is Kevin Le and I am creating a GoFundMe to help my family.

My mother informed me that she is being evicted this month from her current house where my grandfather also resides. This decision unfortunately cannot be reversed - and why I am here asking for help from anyone.

My mother has experienced a profound change that she has kept hidden from me for the last few months. Recently, she was let go due to department cuts at Hyatt as a Director. My mother has worked for Hyatt since I was a kid. Growing up, I was born in Michigan and raised mostly by my grandparents as my mom traveled often for Hyatt, opening new properties across the US, mainly Arizona, California, and Hawaii. With this, she missed most of my childhood growing up, and with my father walking out of my life when I was younger, my mom strived to always give my little brother and me the best. This sacrifice came at a great cost; she missed many games/tournaments, band competitions, and anything my little brother and I were involved in, including graduation.

In May, Hyatt announced it was cutting corporate positions, and unfortunately, my mother's director position was part of that cut. My mother felt ashamed to tell my little brother and me because she dedicated so much to Hyatt during our childhood that she won’t be able to get back to live with us. This put her in emotional distress, which caused her to hide the fact she was let go, and she struggled to find purpose after. She did well playing off she was okay, but truly she was not.

I hate handouts but I’m asking for help for my family.
