Help Support My Dad’s Fight for Healing

Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

I never thought I would be writing this or setting up a GoFundMe.

My dad is facing the final chapter of his life. His liver is failing, and he likely has only 3 months to one year left according to doctors.

Even in the face of this prognosis, my dad has hope to tinker with his projects again, pet his cats, and seek faith. In-patient rehabilitation offers him a chance to stabilize as much as possible and to reclaim some measure of quality in his final months. In-patient rehabilitation and end-of-life care are not cheap. I am helping my mom Claudia (Kevin’s wife) with the planning, logistics and emotional support.

Unfortunately, the costs of rehabilitation, medical care, and upcoming end-of-life expenses are overwhelming. Insurance/Medicare keeps getting rejected. Our family is doing all we can, but we simply cannot manage this alone.
