Our father, Kevin David, was recently admitted to the hospital after a sudden and severe illness. While in the hospital, Kevin went into septic shock, a life-threatening condition that required him to be intubated for 11 days. The infection was so serious that he needed medication to keep his blood pressure stable, but unfortunately, this also restricted blood flow to his extremities. As a result, Kevin has had to undergo the amputation of his right leg, and in the coming weeks, he will face the removal of his left leg and three fingers. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional journey for our entire family, but especially for Kevin, who has shown remarkable strength and courage throughout this ordeal.

The road ahead will be long and challenging. Kevin will need extensive rehabilitation, specialized medical equipment such as a wheelchair, and significant modifications to our home to make it accessible for him. Additionally, we will need to secure a vehicle that can accommodate his new needs. The financial burden of medical bills, equipment, and home and vehicle modifications is overwhelming, and we are reaching out to our community for support during this time.

The David Family would like to express our deepest gratitude and sincerest appreciation for the tremendous outpouring of love, support, and prayer for our father and husband, Kevin David. We cannot say enough how thankful we are for every prayer, phone call, text message of support, care, and encouragement. It has meant the world to us and we have certainly sensed the Lord’s peace and presence as our family has navigated the past 36 days since Dad has been in the hospital.
