Support Kevin Collins in His Recovery Journey
Donation protected
UPDATE: It's been less than a year since Kevin's accident, and he has made a full recovery! Truly a miracle given the severity of his injuries. Kevin asked me to let everyone know that he really appreciates the support, and he was incredibly touched by the generosity from friends, family, and strangers alike. Thanks to everyone who shared and donated, Kevin is ready to get back on his feet. He even has a new car and is optimistic about going back to work next week. Once again, thank you all so much for the support, kind words, and prayers.
ORIGINAL STORY: Last week, Kevin Collins was in a horrific car accident on his way home from work in Panama City Beach. His car flipped multiple times and he was life-flighted to Bay Medical Center to find that he sustained multiple serious injuries - the most traumatic being a break in his C1 vertebra. He has already had surgery to install his "halo" brace that he must wear for 3 months. He'll have to have another surgery to remove the brace, followed by physical therapy and rehab.
With no health insurance, the financial burden lies solely on his elderly parents, who are traveling ministers with health problems of their own. In addition, Kevin now needs round-the-clock care, putting his parents out of work and in a very difficult spot.
Kevin is in tremendous pain and we are constantly praying that the Lord will heal his body, lessen his suffering, and bring peace to his mind. We also pray for Apostles Bob and Sharon Parkes as they navigate their new normal.
With medical bills piling up and an entire household out of work, they could really use your help. Every little bit adds up, and is greatly appreciated! I have set the initial goal at $10,000, but this will be a very long healing process, and the burden is sure to be much greater.
Thank you for your time, your prayers, and your generosity.
