Support Kevin Baylor & Family
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Melissa Curtis (Palulis), niece of Kevin Baylor. I'm raising funds for my uncle and his family to help cover medical costs and other expenses.
On Friday, March 4th my uncle was rushed to Glens Falls Hospital after experiencing symptoms of a stroke. Once there, he was airlifted to Albany Medical Center due to bleeding in the brain as a result of a head injury. The inflammation has not gone down and it will be a long road to recovery. Much remains uncertain as they continue to do more tests.
I'd like to tell you a little about my amazing uncle who spent his life serving others. His career began as a New York City firefighter at Engine 216, Ladder 108 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and his time there included him coming out of retirement to assist in the aftermath of 911, where he helped at Ground Zero.
Kevin and his wife Jean raised their two children (Jessica and Jason) in Salem, NY. Kevin served the community as Washington County Sheriff for over a decade and spent 8 years as the Justice for the Town of Salem. His efforts to support Salem run deep. He is 2nd Lieutenant in the Volunteer Fire Department and a bus driver for the Salem Central School. Words fail to express the selfless impact he has had on the community, and how much he means to the many people he has mentored.
Every free moment is spent with his family, which now includes 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Our family has been heartbroken by the uncertain future of our beloved Pops. I know there is so much going on in the world and so many who are in need, but it would mean so much to us if you are able to make a donation. No amount is too small. And if you have a story to share about Kevin, please do so in the comments below. We'd love to read them!
