Support Keshawn and His Family After a Devastating Car Accident

Two weeks ago, Keshawn was involved in a serious car accident on Highway 86 in Franktown. An oncoming driver traveling eastbound fell asleep at the wheel and struck Keshawn head-on at 55 miles per hour.

By the grace of God, Keshawn survived. He was immediately treated by first responders and taken to Skyridge Medical Center, where he stayed for 3 days, experienced emergency surgery, and a great deal of pain. Overall, he walked away with a mended but broken left arm and many other smaller and less serious wounds.

For Emma, it was every spouse’s worst fear: receiving merely an automated “crash detected” notification from Keshawn’s iPhone that her husband had been in a major accident and not being able to contact him for an hour as she waited for any knowledge that he was okay.

Keshawn and Emma share one vehicle, and now it’s gone. To make matters even more difficult, the at-fault driver’s insurance coverage is not enough to fully cover Keshawn’s medical bills — and there are no remaining funds available to help replace their car.

This young family is now facing unexpected medical expenses, ongoing treatment costs, and the challenge of recovering physically and financially. Keshawn is the primary provider for his family, and his focus right now is healing, physically and emotionally, so he can regain full use of his arm in 8-12 weeks and return to work to support Emma and their sweet little girl, Vienna.

No family plans for something like this. They should be enjoying this season of life with their beautiful daughter — not worrying about mounting medical bills and how they’ll afford reliable transportation.
