Hello! Kervin and Becky here.... We were asked to travel to Liberia to help rebuild a big cam Cummins engine for a missions hospital. Liberia - SIM International
The mechanic they have is in his '70s and this job is more intense than he is quite capable of anymore so they are looking for younger men to step in and help and since Liberia only has power 60% to 70% of the time, this hospital relies heavily on reliable generators! We will be taking some supplies we have purchased for the hospital, as well as some of the generator parts that we can take on our carry-ons.
This is both an opportunity to travel and help others, which we love to do, and a bit of a sacrifice as the out-of-pocket expenses to travel here will be around $10,000, as well as 2 weeks of not running my business. SIM is paying for my airfare but my families airfair, as well as our vaccines, visas, etc has our out of pocket expenses around $10,000. Any financial support will appreciated!
