Kert, my husband, has been facing a series of serious health challenges that have turned our lives upside down. He has been in and out of the hospital for severe multiple blood clots in his leg and lungs, and now he’s battling acute kidney injury. The treatments have been intense—he’s on strong blood thinners and needs constant monitoring, including CT scans and ultrasounds, to make sure the clots don’t move or cause further damage.

Neither of us have been able to work. I’ve been at his side, caring for him, and the financial strain has quickly become overwhelming. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs, co-pays, and medication expenses—especially at the start of the year—are more than we can manage. The emotional toll has been just as heavy, with fear and uncertainty affecting our whole family.
