As so many of you already know, Kerri is an incredible mom, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend who has been courageously battling stage 4 breast cancer for 4 years now. While we are always so thankful to continue seeing pet scan reports with our dear friend NED (no evidence of disease), she is unfortunately looking at another major surgery next month followed by a lengthy recovery time. Her husband, Dave, will have to take an unpaid leave of absence from work for a few weeks to accompany Kerri to Texas where she will be treated by her team at MD Anderson. Once home, Kerri will be out of work for roughly 10 more weeks. Since planning and saving can only get them so far, we’d like to help the Bolster family to ease some of the financial stress and anxiety that a surgery like this can cause. Any money raised will go directly to the family to help with travel expenses (Kerri will have to make a few trips back to Texas during her recovery), uncovered insurance costs, loss of income, and anything they might need to help keep their kids lives stay as normal as possible while Kerri and Dave are gone. Throughout this entire nightmare, Kerri has constantly said that science and the power of prayer are what have brought her this far. Above all, please send the family prayers, good wishes & positive vibes for a safe surgery (it could last up to 12 hours), and a complication free recovery. Kerri has become such an inspiration, advocate & source of support for so many throughout her own struggles with this dreadful disease, we hope we can give a little back to her to ease her mind and heart enabling her to focus all of her energy on her recovery and her family.
