Faith can move mountains!

As many of you know, I'm battling Leukemia/Cancer. I'm in phase 1 of the 3 phases. In this phase, cancer cells are still growing, but at a much slower rate than the other 2 phases; however, the rate can change based on my body's reception of the medications and chemo treatments.

With my diagnosis, there are many doctor's appointments, medical tests, medications, treatments, etc., that I need for my ongoing battle. Unfortunately, not all of them are covered under insurance or insurance only pays a small portion. For example, in preparation of the transplant, I was forced to get some dental work done, costing us over $1400.00 with insurance, that we were not aware of or prepared to pay.

We are also fighting/in discussions with the insurance company about whether or not they will cover the transplant. As of right now, they advised us it's not covered and will cost roughly $300,000 out of pocket for the entire procedure. While we know it's impossible to amass this amount from any donations, any little bit helps.

Now, recently, due to being hospitalized many times over the last few months, for weeks at a time from complications of treatment, I was forced to file for disability through my job. Each month, it pays at a rate of 50% of my weekly salary, paid out once a month. This has placed an even greater strain on us financially.

Brad is still working full-time with his job, but whenever he drives me to an appointment or while he's with me at an appointment, if he's unable to take calls or be in meetings, his company forces him to take FMLA and they dock his pay for that amount of time. (He's the main breadwinner for us, so it's killing us whenever they do this without warning.) When combined with the fact that he's not able to hit his monthly selling quotas due to my care, we're falling short financially every month.

Because I am someone who has always believed in helping others over myself, I find it rather difficult to write this. I never thought I would find myself needing help due to a situation such as this, but here I am. I also know that so many are in financial need with the state of the world today, but if you have even $5.00 that you can spare, it would be very much appreciated! (Any money received would be used towards my mounting medical or household bills.)
