On the 4th of July this year, flash floods devastated much of the Hill Country region in Texas, resulting in over 135 fatalities. At least 30 of these victims were children, with many being school-age. These flash floods have also disrupted schools themselves, with many having to close or delay classes. Kerrville and Ingram (West Kerr County) ISD are just a few of the many school districts that have faced damages from the floods.
In order to rebuild and mitigate the damage from this tragedy, our efforts must start as a community. Our mission at InspiKids has always been to inspire and empower the younger generation, and we work towards this mission through community initiatives. To help, we're focusing on the schools that have been impacted and raising money for back-to-school supplies for youth in Kerr County, as well as donating STEM kits as a token of rebuilding and community.
Every donation counts, and we would love to meet our goal as soon as possible!
Note: To ensure timely and meaningful impact, we’ve expanded our support to include youth-focused organizations, community groups, and local nonprofits making meaningful contributions toward children and youth in Kerr County. We are currently working with these trusted partners to distribute STEM kits, books, and other educational resources to children and families in need.
These organizations play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of local youth, and your donations will continue to make a direct and lasting difference. We remain committed to transparency and thank you for standing with us in this effort. Please note that the title has been revised from “Support Kerr County Schools After Flood Tragedy.”
With gratitude,
