Hello there! I hope you all are well!

My name is Eliana Douglas, and I am in my senior year pursuing a business degree at Ashland University! Throughout this month and with the Thanksgiving holiday, I have been thinking about how thankful and blessed I am for God’s grace, my family, and close friends! There is one friend in particular who has been on my mind and heart this month to be thankful for, and I am creating this page on the behalf of my friend in hopes of supporting him financially.

I have a dear friend, Kerordor, I have been blessed to get to know over the past two years. I met him when he came to Ashland University in Ashland, OH to visit with his girlfriend, who I am also good friends with. He currently lives with another friend in an apartment in Ashland and is in need of financial support.

Kerordor’s Background:

Before coming to Ashland, Kerordor was homeschooled most of his life and grew up in the countryside with his Christian family in West Virginia. He grew up reading Tolkien and many fantasy stories with heroes and villains and characters on adventurous journeys and fighting battles in magical lands. He also grew up playing video games and has played D&D with his family. Role playing as different characters and creating characters, especially for D&D campaigns brings him so much joy! And he is filled with joy the most when playing with others! He has continued to grow in his love for fantasy stories and role playing through his voice acting talent and experience singing and dancing in show choir in high school! After high school, he studied at a community college in WV in pursuit of becoming a teacher where his exceptional observational skills and heartfelt way of connecting with kids shined! However, things fell through with his college education, but he did not let that setback stop him! Since then, he has worked at a nursing home and in restaurants. People at the nursing home adored him and residents appreciated his efforts and how much he poured his heart into caring for them! Even in his work at restaurants, he did his best to give people an experience worth walking in the doors for! In Ashland, Kerordor worked for a gaming company with the friend he lives with and created his first YouTube channel for the video game, Raid Shadow Legends. In addition, he has continued working in restaurants, one day dreaming of opening his own tavern to bring joy to families and give them an authentic fantasy character dining experience they will never forget!

In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching anime, playing video games, singing and voice acting, and he especially enjoys spending time with those he loves and cares about! At the end of the day, he is most joyful bringing others joy and seeing them smile! And that love for bringing joy to others comes from heart to serve the Lord and serve others!

Kerordor’s Story:

Recently, Kerordor lost his job and has been having issues with his heart. His previous employer requested that he see a doctor for his heart issue and receive a written doctor’s note for his condition. However, the doctor he knows lives in West Virginia, and my friend is not able to return home due to personal reasons. He has considered looking for a doctor in Ashland; however, he does not have the funds to cover any medical expenses he may incur.

In the meantime, he has been trying to search for jobs to earn money and have a stable income to support himself and pay his portion of the apartment rent. However, he has not been successful in his job search and is concerned that if his heart issue is not taken care of, he will be in a more serious situation.

Truthfully, my friend has been feeling confused, frustrated, and very stressed about his situation. It has been a testing time, but he is doing the best he can to persevere each day with faith by relying on the Lord and trusting God in this time. And I am proud of him for doing his best to push through the pain and still choose to see life as a precious gift and take steps toward progress, even if it does not seem like much.

My Heart for my Friend:

Talking to my friend about his situation inspired me and stirred a passion in my heart to help him in this difficult time. Kerordor is a person who loves the Lord and others dearly, especially his girlfriend, family, and friends. He deeply cares in all he does, and he desires and strives to do what is right, according to God’s Word no matter what he faces in life! In fact, he is a friend who has taught me what it means to be a true friend who is loyal, faithful, and loves like Jesus Christ! He has shown me love and care by always being open and honest with me, telling me the truth whether or not I am willing to listen. And through difficult conversations in my darkest moments, he fought for me when I was heartbroken and willing to give up on myself and on life. He still chose to be my friend and forgives me, even when I hurt him and failed him. This is a testament to who my friend is! And I am creating this page to show the same love and care he shows me, and I am here to fight for my friend, who fought so hard for me and continues to do so through prayer and strength from the Lord!

The donations for this fund will go toward helping Kerordor receive help for his heart and get back on his feet through financial support! And all of the donations will go directly to him.
