Support KeriAnn pending transplants

KeriAnn was born on December 23, 1986 at Southampton Hospital. Immediately after her mother delivered her, Keri was rushed to Stony Brook Hospital for emergency surgery for lack of oxygen to her heart causing cyanosis, all while her mother remained at Southampton. At this time, Keri was diagnosed with Single Ventricle Dextrocardia along with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, where her heart lies on the right side of her body and half of the heart is critically underdeveloped. Keri would soon face several more procedures to help improve her heart function which resulted in a childhood spent in the hospital more times than she could count. She attended school and tried to me as "normal" as she could but of course had restrictions with certain activities and dealt with cyanosis on a regular basis. Keri was stable until August 2017 when she suddenly started to develop fluid build up in her abdomen. Keri was taken to SBUH where she was immediately admitted to figure out the cause of the ascites. While they were able to stabilize her, doctors could not come to a conclusion of the cause so she was transferred to Columbia University Medical Center in NYC where they performed a cardiac catheterization, took biopsies of her liver and multiple other tests. After several procedures, doctors came to the conclusion that Keri's heart AND liver were deteriorating and she would need a transplant for both and will be placed on a list waiting, all while trying to maintain a "normal" lifestyle with dietary restrictions and biweekly abdominal drainages. In April 2018, Keri passed out while at home and was in an arrhythmia where she had to be defibrillated back. She spent the next few days in SBUH where they then transferred her to Columbia since her case was too complicated. Keri then spent the next week there while doctors ran several tests and attempted to place a pacemaker in her to help prevent future incidents, but were unable to do so due to her anatomy of the heart and she was released once "stable". As of this summer, Keri will be listed for both transplants, which at that time the transplant team will place her in the hospital pending a donor for both the liver and the heart. They have predicted an average of AT LEAST 9 months she will spend prior with a potential to be longer if no match is found. During this time, Keri will not be able to work, resulting in losing her health insurance and unable to pay her bills. Keri is the most strong willed, bravest, selfless person who is always going the extra mile despite her condition. We are looking to help alleviate the costs of her medical bills along with her other bills she will still be responsible for regardless of being in  the hospital long term. Keri has become family to us at PJIM over such a short period of time and she is always going above and beyond for us and it's time to give back to her! Anything you could donate would be greatly appreciated. We thank you for your kindness!
