Support Keri with Petunia's Medical Treatment

Hi everyone, my name is Carli Wall. Anyone who knows me, knows Keri and I are like sisters. We have been friends for 7 years and our dogs mean everything to us.
It is heartbreaking to see the constant valley Keri and Petunia have had to endure these last few months. Back in November 2024, Petunia suddenly went paralyzed and had emergency surgery for IVDD. She has since recovered, but will forever have that disease and may have to go through that again.
These last few months Petunia had been doing well, until she started showing signs of severe sickness on March 19th. She was vomiting and had blood coming from both ends. Keri took her to her primary vet who diagnosed Petunia with pancreatitis. She was put on several medications. Within a day or two, Petunia appeared to be back to herself.
On March 25th, Petunia began vomiting through her medication and was hardly functioning. Keri rushed her to the ER vet who said Petunia needed fluids for more supportive care for the illness. She was sent home that night.
The next day, March 26th - Petunia took a turn for the worst. She woke up shaking, excessively thirsty and was projectile vomiting water. Keri called the ER vet back who encouraged her to bring Petunia in urgently. She was then hospitalized for the night to try and help with these symptoms.
On March 27th, after one night in the ER, Petunia appeared to be keeping food and water down, so the hospital took out her NG tube and believed she was healthy enough to go home.
Around 3am on March 28th, Petunia woke up to again projectile vomiting water, bloody diarrhea and unable to walk or stand. Keri rushed her back to the ER, who then hospitalized her for 2 more nights. Her blood work came back with several indicating factors that helped to determine that Petunia’s pancreas was inflamed and affecting her stomach. She was given several meds, x-rays, ultrasounds and an NG tube. It then began a waiting game to ensure that Petunia’s stomach could finally work as needed in order to be sent home.
Petunia was released on 3/30 around 11pm, and we are hoping with all the medication, she will be on the mend. She will take several weeks to get back to herself, and we are hoping she will not get this illness again, as it is known to be chronic.
These medical bills are extremely stressful on Keri, who maxed out her pet insurance on Petunia’s previous IVDD surgery.
To see your best friend go through something like this has had me feeling helpless. I wanted to do something to try and help her during this difficult time.
