Kerensky Metayer is a proud Haitian from North Miami, Florida, and a junior at the University of Central Florida double majoring in Political Science on the Pre-Law track and Economics. With aspirations of becoming a tax attorney, Kerensky’s experiences in personal training, group fitness, emergency medical services, and education reflect his commitment to serving and connecting with others. His platform, "Man Enough to Stand Up", focuses on encouraging Black men to actively support, uplift, and advocate for Black women while recognizing their leadership, contributions, and impact within the community. This mission holds special meaning for Kerensky as he honors the legacy of his late cousin, Nancy Metayer Bowen, whose leadership and service continue to inspire him. Through his platform and participation in the Mr. 1908 Scholarship Pageant, Kerensky hopes to celebrate Black excellence while challenging men to understand that true strength also means having the courage to stand up for and alongside others.
