Hi, my name is Amparo Lopez, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dear friend Keren Hardy — a loving mother, a dedicated waitress, and a truly generous and hardworking person.

Keren is currently facing one of the most heartbreaking times of her life. Her beloved mother, an immigrant from Israel and a woman of strong Jewish faith, has entered hospice care. With her mother’s health rapidly declining, Keren is preparing for the emotional and financial responsibilities of saying goodbye — all while still caring for her own family and trying to stay afloat.

As many of you know, waitressing is physically demanding work with long hours and, often, no benefits or paid time off. Keren is doing everything she can, but she simply doesn’t have the financial support needed to cover end-of-life care and funeral arrangements that honor her mother’s Jewish heritage.

We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to help with:

• Funeral and burial costs in accordance with Jewish traditions

• Hospice-related expenses

• Immediate living expenses for Keren and her family during this difficult time
