Hi, my name is Carrie Austin. My good friend's husband was on a benefit ride with the AMVETS to raise money for veterans. Kenzie himself is a veteran. On the way back, he went off the road and was thrown from his bike. He was unresponsive at the scene and had to be intubated. He was airlifted to UPMC. Since the accident, Kenzie has faced numerous challenges, including being off and on the ventilator, undergoing a tracheostomy, and dealing with several broken ribs, a fractured sternum, and a brain bleed. Doctors suspect he had a stroke while riding. Kenzie's journey to recovery will be long and challenging, requiring extensive medical care and rehabilitation. The costs associated with his treatment are significant, and as a community, we want to rally around him and provide the support he needs. Your generous donations will directly alleviate the financial burden on Kenzie and his family, ensuring that he receives the best possible care without the added stress. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in Kenzie's journey to healing. By donating, you are not just helping with medical bills; you're providing hope, comfort, and an opportunity for a true hero to regain his strength and independence. Please donate and share this to show your support to Kenzie and his family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us during this difficult time. Kenzie's wife, Lisa, will have access to this so that she will be able to update with more info as Kenzie gets better.
