In June 2025, Kent received a life-changing diagnosis: Stage 4 non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma, also known as metastatic lung cancer. It’s an aggressive disease, and it spread quickly.

If you know Kent, you know that he’s the kind of person who shows up every time. A loyal friend. A dedicated son. A loving partner. And above all, a proud dad.

Kent isn’t someone who backs down. True to form, he’s meeting this fight head-on with strength, humor, and the fierce determination that those close to him know so well.

He’s already completed an initial round of radiation to slow tumor growth and has been accepted into one of the top cancer centers in the country, MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, where he’ll begin a new phase of treatment with the goal of remission.

This next chapter will require Kent to step away from work and put his full energy into healing. That’s where we come in.

We’re rallying support for Kent and his family to help cover:

• Travel and lodging costs for treatment at MD Anderson (duration still unknown)

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Basic care at home while Kent recovers (house cleaning, yard work, etc.)
