Hi, I'm Shannon Murphy. I have set this gofundme up on behalf of my uncle, Kent Gaines. In the early weeks of Febuary, my uncle has been hospitilized due to an infection on his neck which has reached his blood. He has remained in the hospital for two weeks, requireding over four surgeries for his serious infection.

He has accumulated countless hospital bills since he has been in this condition at the hospital since Tuesday, 2/3. Even after his release from the hospital, he will continue to have to finance his follow up appointements with specialists, and ongoing IV medications, along with new medications.

Kent is the most kindhearted and unique uncle; he is able to effortlessly light up a room, spark a conversation with a stranger, or recommend an amazing song. Kent is truly a selfless person, and I would not be asking for help on his behalf unless I was sure he needed it.

Kent works two honorable jobs as an insurance adjuster focusing on disaster reflief and a part-time trucker. These jobs provide him with no benefits, therefore no paid time off and minimal health insurace. In hopes of helping my uncle relieve some of his financial burdens during this stressful period, I am kindly asking for your sympathy and compassion and most importantly, your help.
