Update:Kent was released from the hospital on Monday Sept 22. He is now recovering at home. This is where he really needs your help, home for 2 months without pay.

Update: Kent had his surgery this morning and everything went well. He is in recovering right now. He will be in the hospital for a week to recover.

Hi, I’m Stacey and I am starting this fundraiser for my Dad, Kent Carlisle. On Sept. 11, Kent went in for an angiogram to see if they could place a stent, but the doctor backed out and said, "I can’t help you, you’re a ticking time bomb." The doctor said he needs open heart surgery with up to a 5x bypass, but the surgeon would let him know for sure. On Friday, Sept. 12, Kent went to meet with the surgeon. He was told he would need a triple bypass done, but in the meantime, he would need to go off his blood thinners. With that comes the risk of having a heart attack at any moment, so he would need to check into ICU until the following Wednesday when surgery would be. Currently, Kent is in ICU at Timpanogos Hospital.

The surgeon said Kent will be out of work for 2 months recovering. Kent and Sandy are on a fixed income, and having Kent out of work for 2 months will be devastating financially.
