Please help us support Ken's relocation and recovery

Hi! My name is Meghan and I am the daughter of the lovely man I am trying to raise money for. Ken, my father, was a Portsmouth (NH) high school science teacher for 38 years. He also spent so many of his summers as manager of Wallis Sands State Beach. Everyone knew my dad. He was a hard worker and an all-around great guy. And I love him very much so this next part is hard for me.

My parents live in Florida right now. About two months ago, my father fell and broke his C6 vertebra in 3 places. He had a posterior laminectomy with fusion (spinal surgery) and has since been in constant pain. He spent many weeks in the hospital and rehab. While in rehab, he spent time with a neurologist who observed Parkinson-like symptoms as well as some cognitive issues. He is now home from rehab and in a wheelchair and not able to help with transfers or much of anything at the moment. It has become evident that my parents cannot stay in Florida by themselves. Carole, my mother, is not able to do this on her own away from the support of family and friends. I have secured them a handicap accessible apartment up here (NH) where we can help them.

The reason I am asking for help from you is because this all has to happen rather quickly. Like yesterday. While this family is full of love and support we are not full of the financial means to execute this without help. If you know Ken and Carole or the rest of the family, you know that we are very independent and don't like asking for help. But here I am, asking for help because we desperately need some.
