On August 6th, our lives changed forever when Ken was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer — so rare that he is only the fifth man in the world and one of fewer than 80 people ever diagnosed with it.

For the past three weeks, Ken has been in Houston at MD Anderson Cancer Center, undergoing an extensive series of tests, scans, and consultations as doctors work to create the best possible treatment plan. During that time, we stayed in a hotel, but as his care continues, we are now looking for a long-term executive apartment rental where he can stay comfortably throughout his treatment and recovery.

Beginning October 13th, Ken will start six weeks of very intense radiation treatments, focused on his neck. Treatments will be Monday through Friday, with frequent doctor appointments and additional imaging in between.

Ken has been off work since September 17th when we arrived at MD Anderson, and he will not be able to return to work until at least December 1st. We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help offset living expenses during his treatment, including housing, meals, and travel costs.

We know that God is in control and that He is walking beside us every step of the way. Still, there are moments when even the strongest faith needs the love and support of family and friends. Your prayers, encouragement, and any financial help you can give mean more to us than words can say.
