Support Kenny's Healing Journey After Devastating House Fire
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Terilisha. I am a friend of Kenny Sparks.
The night of Wednesday, October 2nd he lost his childhood home and possessions in an electrical fire that destroyed all of his personal/professional belongings and important documents.
Kenny unselfishly ran into the home to save the lives of his 2 dogs Molly and Mason. Gratefully he was able to get them to safety but unfortunately he suffered 2nd degree burns to his head, face, neck, upper body/back, hands, fingers and arms in the process.
Kenny recently moved back home after the passing of his mother.
Although emotional and in incredible pain he is keeping his sense of humor.
He is currently being treated at Parkland’s Burn Unit.
There will be a long road ahead for the physical and respiratory pain he’s in but we are asking the community for help to make the recovery lighter financially once he’s released from the hospital.
We are raising funds to support Kenny with:
* Temporary housing: Finding a safe place to stay while he figures out his, Molly and Mason’s next steps.
* Clothing and essentials: Replacing what was lost and meeting daily needs.
* Rebuilding efforts: Helping him get back on his feet and rebuild his home.
* Medical expenses: Ambulatory and Hospital costs, treatments, medications and therapies.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in
Kenny’s recovery journey.
If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word or shooting up a prayer or word of support.
Thank you to the 911 operator, Dallas firefighters, paramedics and Parkland Hospital staff and medical teams.
Special thank you to Howard, Myra, Mary and the entire Deer Run neighborhood family.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this challenging time. Together, we can help Kenny, Molly and Mason find hope and healing as they move forward.
With gratitude,
Terilisha
