Support Kenny and KC After Tragic Loss

Hi everyone, my name is Shar. I’m raising funds for my brother, Kenny & my niece KC who was left behind from my late sister in law, Joan and my niece Georgette. We’re not usually the type to ask for help but we’re doing this for my brother & most especially my niece.

Kenny & Joan had KC in 2012 and had been longing to have another one for so long & their prayers were answered when she was pregnant with Georgette. She was supposed to be due at the end of October but the Lord had other plans.

On September 30, she noticed that she had blood coming out of her mouth. My brother rushed her to Queens West where they later transferred her to Queens Punchbowl. There, they took her blood pressure which was way higher than norm & they also weren’t able to find baby’s heartbeat. Doctors said that it was preeclampsia. Because her blood pressure was so high baby’s placenta separated from her uterus which didn’t allow baby to have any blood flow. Also, she was not able to deliver baby with such high blood pressure so doctors waited until she was stable.

October 1, she was stable enough for surgery where they took her in around 1pm. They were able to deliver her baby and slowed down her bleeding. They tried to save her uterus by sending her for another procedure in interventional radiology to block the artery going to her uterus but unfortunately before transport her heart stopped and they started rounds and rounds of CPR but unfortunately they can’t get her back. They suspected a blood clot dislodged and travelled to her lungs causing pulmonary embolism.

All funds raised will be going towards funeral expenses, medical/hospital expenses, and any other future and unforeseen expenses.
