Support Kenn's Fight Against Medical Challenges

My name is Lisa, and I am a friend of the family, I am putting this together for this family to help with medical and household bills incurred.

Kenn has been through some tough stuff since May 2024 and has been unable to work. This is a synopsis of treatments as explained by Kerry his wife:

Kenn was having unexplained symptoms for over a year when finally, his primary sent him in for an MRI back on September 20th. That led to getting a specialist involved where said doctor found a mass wrapped around his spinal cord and scheduled surgery for Sept 27th where Kenn was hospitalized for 5 days. They ended up fusing together t1 through t4 and removing part of his rib to remove the mass.
We were told the results of the mass would take 10 days to get back. 7 weeks later they tell us the results are inconclusive and would cost a minimum of $3400 out of pocket to send in for further review and they stated it was less than a 50 percent chance to get a positive result. There are 2 other tests they could do but are far more expensive and insurance doesn't cover any of these tests. So, his surgeon said every 6 months he will need to go in for an MRI to make sure the mass doesn't come back.

While in the hospital during his 1st stay, a general surgeon discovered an anal fissure which was extremely painful. Dr prescribed a couple different medications to help with pain and to help heal, but after 3 months of the fissure not healing, he was brought back in for another surgery December 20th where the doctor found that Kenn is full of hemorrhoids because of all the medications he was on from his back surgery. He now needs a 3rd surgery to remove his hemorrhoids. 1 week later, after having surgery to help repair the fissure, Kenn ended up back in the hospital, this time by ambulance, for another 3-night stay. Due to Kenn's symptoms they thought he could be sepsis as they discovered a fluid sac when they did further MRIs and CT scans. The infectious disease doctor drained the fluid sac at the incision point and thankfully after 48 hours the results came back negative, but Kenn did end up with norovirus. After being discharged, Kenn had a follow up appointment with his primary, where his primary broke the news that his CT Scan from his hospital stay shows a spot on his lungs that could be cancerous. We are waiting for his doctors to set up more testing to get more definite answers. So, it's been a very long road and recovery is proving to be a lot more difficult and longer than anyone imagined. All while, Kenn has been off work until further notice and has not been being paid. He doesn't have short term disability. We are waiting for long term to be approved. Kenn's doctor is not sure how long Kenn will be off work.

If you are able to help, I know this family would be more than thankful as they do still have a very long road ahead of them.
