Support Kennedy's Return to Her Family

My name is Dawn Werre. I am creating this fundraiser to help retain a lawyer to have my granddaughter, Kennedy, returned to our family.

I have raised Kennedy since she was born, and in March of this year, her father was released from prison. He is a convicted violent felon and requested a guardianship review, which had my guardianship vacated. He left us with the impression he was given full custody but allowed us to keep her for another 5 days.

I brought her to his house as agreed upon on August 26th, only later to discover he truly had not been given full custody of her, and now he will not give her back. Kennedy did not want to go there, and it was a pretty traumatic experience for her. We are looking to retain an attorney so that her mother can file for custody of her and get Kennedy back home with the only family that she's ever known.
