My name is Kennedy, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. Recently, I lost my job and am working to escape a situation involving a sexual assault. I’m also re-navigating sobriety, which has brought its own set of challenges, as well as hope for a better future. It’s been overwhelming, but I’m determined to find safety and stability so I can begin to heal and rebuild.

The past few months have been incredibly challenging, both emotionally and financially. I am doing everything I can to move forward, but the costs of rent, moving, and basic necessities like food have become too much to manage on my own. I desperately need out of Iowa City and would like to start this new chapter with a much needed change of scenery. I want to create a safe space for myself where I can focus on healing and start cooking and creating art again, which has always been my passion and a source of hope for me.
