Another update not the news we wanted..

Kennedy is officially at the Cleveland Clinic she’s experiencing a few complications and requiring a feeding tube and cannot currently speak. As of now there is no clinical indication as for what is causing these problems however she will be receiving chemo hopefully within the next week to help with her cancer. She has missed her baby’s first Halloween, thanksgiving and more than likely first Christmas. Thank you for the support hopefully the next update is better news..

Update as of 11/20/25

Kennedy has been officially diagnosed with a Germinoma, which is an extremely rare cancer that is located deep in her brain. She has two tumors currently. Kennedy will be transferred to the Cleveland Clinic to start inpatient chemotherapy and radiation. Unfortunately she has had to have 4 additional surgeries since the diagnosis, pushing her treatment further back. She’s currently at summa still , she has been fighting sepsis and now has an ileostomy due to serious complications. Kennedy is determined to kick ass and beat this so any donations help her and family make sure she is in the best place possible for the battle.

Hi my name is Makayla and I’m raising money and asking for prayers/ support for my sister Kennedy.

Kennedy is a 24 year old new mom to a beautiful 5 month old daughter named Hazel who is the light of her life. Kennedy has been suffering with headaches, dizziness and vision changes for 7 months. She had been dismissed by several physicians. Unfortunately in October she was taken to the emergency room and the next day rushed into surgery because there was pressure in her brain. That’s when they discovered she has two tumors deep in her brain that have been causing the symptoms. As of now she has had two surgeries plus multiple procedures and 17 days in intensive care unit at summa hospital. She is going for another more complicated surgery to place a permanent shunt on 11/5/25 and will spend more time in the icu and possibly rehab afterwards away from her baby. Unfortunately the tumors themselves are being considered cancerous but biopsy’s are still pending making her stay even longer and more costly. Her significant other is the only one working and able to support her and Hazel. Kennedy is normally a nursing assistant in a long term care facility where she enjoys helping others and building relationships with her residents. She be unable to work for the foreseeable future. Kennedy is a fighter and she has been through the loss of her mother who passed away from aggressive cancer less than 3.5 years ago at a young age. Kennedy has a long road ahead of her and a tough battle to win but if anyone can it’s her! She would appreciate any and all prayers/ positivity sent her way.
