Kennedy Davenport is more than a world-famous drag legend — she is family to all of us in the LGBTQ+ community. Offstage, Kennedy is the true backbone of her family. She provides and cares for her mother, grandmother, a sister with special needs, another sister who suffered a stroke and can no longer work, and her beloved nieces — all of whom she continues to support.

Together they live in Kennedy’s childhood home, which has always been filled with love, resilience, and faith. Every bill, every meal, every medical appointment, and every moment of stability is made possible through Kennedy’s hard work and dedication. She is the sole provider for her entire household.

Recently, tragedy struck. While Kennedy was away in Las Vegas working a residency to provide for her loved ones, a fire partially destroyed the home where her family lives. The stress of being across the country while her family faced such devastation is unimaginable — yet Kennedy has carried herself with the same grace and strength that have defined her career and her character.

Now, it’s our turn to carry her. Kennedy has given us joy, artistry, and inspiration for years — and today, she and her family need us.
