Hi, my name is Kenly, and I’m on a mission… to get to California.

I live in Texas, but my entire extended family my cousins, aunties, uncles, and my Bama are in California. I’m trying to raise money for a plane ticket to visit them this summer, make some memories and maybe even convince one of my uncles to let an auntie move out to Texas (worth a shot, right?).

Here’s the twist: my mom thinks I’m too young to fly alone. I’ll be a sophomore next year. I don’t exactly scream “lost child at baggage claim.” But hey, moms worry it’s in their DNA.

So, I’m raising the money myself to show her I’ve got this. I want to prove I can handle responsibility, plan something on my own, and still make it to the gate with both shoes on.
