The Diagnosis That Changed Everything

I hope you're all doing okay. I wanted to open up about something deeply personal that's been happening in my life. A few months ago, I noticed blood in my stool when I went to the bathroom. It was alarming, but I tried to brush it off. I told myself it was probably just hemorrhoids or maybe something I ate. I didn't want to think it could be something serious.

As time went on, the bleeding didn't stop. I knew I couldn't ignore it any longer. With a mix of fear and uncertainty, I went to see the doctor. They scheduled a colonoscopy, and in October, my world was turned upside down. The doctors found a tumor, and after more tests, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer.

Hearing the words "Stage 3 cancer" felt like everything around me just stopped. I remember sitting there, my heart pounding, trying to catch my breath. It was like a bad dream I couldn't wake up from. Questions raced through my mind: "Why is this happening? What does this mean for me?" I felt scared, overwhelmed, and alone.

My Treatment Plan and the Journey Ahead

Now, I'm gearing up for the toughest fight of my life. The plan is to undergo chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery over the next year. It's going to be a long and challenging road, filled with ups and downs. I'm determined to face it head-on, but I know I can't do it without help.
